ICSA has been awarded access to an Intel Xeon+FPGA system A group of researchers from ICSA has been awarded access to an Intel Xeon+FPGA system (Broadwell + Arria10) via Intel's Hardware Accelerator Research Program. Our proposal links researchers from across the school, bringing with them unparalleled expertise in systems, robotics and software engineering and with already proven track records of successful inter-disciplinary collaborations. Our holistic evaluation of the Intel platform includes research in multiple application domains (Robotics, Vision, Software Testing), combined with a high-level language programming approach and an adaptable runtime. Many thanks to Bruno Bodin for coordinating our bid. This article was published on 2024-11-22
