Lab Lunch: 13 November 2018 - Ian Stark Title: Change Ringing Abstract: I ring bells: large ones, mostly in church towers. It's a social activity, with groups of 6 to 12 people working together to ring long permutation sequences. I'll talk about what that involves, with some video and demonstration props. There's a computational link, too, involving SAT solver challenges. This talk is in memory of Roy Dyckhoff, long a friend of many in LFCS and an active contributor to Scottish ringing.
