Lab Lunch: 23 October 2018 - Don Sannella Title: Memories of Martin Hoffman Abstract: Martin Hofmann passed away in a mountain climbing accident while attending a workshop in Japan in January 2018. Martin was my PhD student in LFCS in the early 1990s and he went on to a prominent career in theoretical Computer Science, since 2001 as a professor at LMU Munich. I will share some memories of meeting Martin, supervising his PhD, working with him, and of what he was like as a person.
