Principles and Practice of Parallel Programming 2020 (PPoPP) Kite, lead by ICSA PhD student Vasileios Gavrielatos, was chosen as one of the 5 best paper candidates at PPoPP. Kite argues for exposing a shared-memory (release consistency) interface for distributed key-values-stores. It is the first paper to enforce release consistency in a highly-available (nonblocking) fashion. The other researchers involved in Kite are Antonios Katsarakis, Boris Grot, Arpit Joshi and Vijay Nagarajan. PPoPP is the premier forum for leading work on all aspects of parallel programming, including theoretical foundations, techniques, languages, compilers, runtime systems, tools, and practical experience. PPoPP was held Saturday 22th Feb - Wednesday 26 February 2020 in San Diego, California, United States. Useful links PPoPP 2020 This article was published on 2024-11-22
