IPAB Workshop - 19/03/2026 This week will be a little bit different, a group of researchers from Waseda University will be presenting on their work in human-robot interaction with the AIREC robot. Title: Introduction to the Moonshot Project and Recent Progress in AIREC & Human-Assistive Technologies Abstract: After reviewing the recent technological advances in Physical AI, we describe the history of the general-purpose humanoid robots that have been developed at Waseda University and introduce the ongoing Moonshot Project. Furthermore, after organizing the challenges and advantages of autonomously performing various assistive tasks using general-purpose humanoid robots, we provide an overview of the research cases and methodologies that have been pursued so far.
