Vision and Objectives

  • Promote interdisciplinary research in blockchain technology

  • Enable researchers of different backgrounds to develop common language and understanding 

  • Give opportunities to research areas not usually engaged on funded research related to blockchain systems to contribute to R&D

$4.5M - 3 years

IOG is providing funding of $4.5M over the course of 3 years.

Distributed over three annual calls for proposals

Proposals solicited from teams of researchers at the University of Edinburgh - all schools and colleges

Proposals submitted will be evaluated in terms of:

  • Research novelty and impact

  • Relevance to Input Output systems and wide R&D objectives
