Application Deadlines

The CDT MLSystems has two recruitment rounds per year. Make sure that you know by which deadline you should apply for.

Details of each round's timeline

Round 1

Recruitment Round 1 is open to all applicants (both International and Home applicants).

Applications for Round 1 open 5 October 2026 and close on 10 December 2026, 23:59.

Stage 1: first-stage Application Form

Applicants submit a CDT first-stage Application Form via an online form.

Applicants are given the outcome of their first-stage Application Form at the latest by 07/01/2027

Stage 2: Full Application via EUCLIDApplicants selected at Stage 1 are invited to submit a full application via the University system EUCLID (via a link sent to them) by

Applications from International applicants received after the Stage 1 deadline for Round 1 will be ignored.

Round 2

Round 2 is open to Home applicants only and is subject to studentship availability. 

Applications will be reviewed and assessed as they arrive and a decision made on any nominated applications every two weeks once round 1 is closed. Home applicants are advised to apply in Round 1 or asap in Round 2.

Stage 2: Full Application via EUCLIDApplicants selected at Stage 1 are invited to submit a full application via the University application system EUCLID within one week of their Stage 1 outcome.

Applications from International applicants received for Round 2 will be ignored.

Note: Some CDT Company-linked projects might have a different recruitment timeline from the standard CDT recruitment rounds, if this is the case, this will be clearly stated on the project description.
