Royal Society Industrial Fellowships are awarded to academic scientists who want to work on a collaborative project with industry and for scientists in industry who want to work on a collaborative project with an academic organisation.

The fellowship will allow Ajitha Rajan to pursue her research project on assessing safety of perception artificial intelligence tasks within autonomous vehicles that are responsible for detection of vehicles, pedestrians, lanes, traffic light, obstacles.

Ajitha will work closely with Codeplay developers to enhance and integrate the automated testing tool developed by my research group into a Codeplay product that will help assess safety of perception tasks.

I am delighted and grateful for the Royal Society Industry Fellowship award. The fellowship presents me with an exciting and unique opportunity to actively work with industry collaborators to understand research challenges in their domain.
