Gordon Plotkin Receives EATCS Award 2014

[2015] Prof. Gordon Plotkin has been given the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science Award for "his lifetime contribution of a research corpus of exceptional depth and influence across a broad range of areas within theoretical computer science."

The European Association for Theoretical Computer Science (EATCS) is an international organisation founded in 1972. Its aim is to facilitate the exchange of ideas and results among theoretical computer scientists as well as to stimulate cooperation between the theoretical and the practical community in computer science.

EATCS annually honors a respected scientist from our community with the prestigious EATCS Distinguished Achievements Award. The award is given to acknowledge extensive and widely recognised contributions to theoretical computer science over a life long scientific career.
