Requirements such as being non-biased, non-discriminatory, fair and diverse are now written in several guidelines and recommendations on trustworthy and ethical AI. One key aspect of this is user-education. By concentrating on informal forms of user education, we are looking to identify its key requirements, including core concepts, intelligibility and potentially effective forms. Another important aspect of algorithmic bias are its potential harms and effects, both on individual and on societal level. Using the field of crime control as an example, we are working on identifying the most important problematic aspects and the solutions to these problems.
