Spoke to Japanese Web developers about the work being done in the W3C Social Web Working Group I talked about my personal motivations for working on open standards for the Social Web, as well as describing the eight technical specifications the group is working on. The work is coming to an end right now, but there's plenty more to do, and future developments will happen in a W3C Community Group (https://www.w3.org/community/swicg/), which anyone is welcome to join. A writeup of my talk, in English and Japanese, is here: https://rhiaro.co.uk/2016/11/decentralising-social-tokyo This article was published on 2024-11-22
