24 April 2017: Dave Robertson "Precision Medicine, Stratified Medicine and Population Healthcare" Informatics is changing fundamentally the basis of medicine and population healthcare. Recognising this, we set up a Centre for Medical Informatics within our College of Medicine as a point of focus for this activity. I will explain the motivation for the new Centre and give a few examples of the sorts of systems we’re developing (ranging from small, niche applications to large scale data safe havens and automated experiments). If there’s time, I’ll also talk about the Farr network for health data sharing and the newly announced UK Institute for Health Data and Biomedical Informatics Research.
