Studies suggest that financially deprived older adults tend to suffer more health challenges than their age-matched wealthier counterparts. Our goal is to understand how the trajectories of financial circumstance and frailty, a measure of health deficits, interact in older adults. In this talk, I will present preliminary findings from trajectory clustering of individuals’ income using the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) dataset, and growth mixture modelling.
