Formed in 1993/4 by members of the academic staff in the Department of Computer Science. The Computer Systems Group was an informal group formed in 1993/4 by members of the academic staff in the Department of Computer Science who had interests in the "design, capabilities and performance of actual computer systems", as identified in the first of a series of technical reports that were produced by members of the Group in the years 1994-1998. ECS-CSG-1-94 was in effect the Group's manifesto. When the Computer Science Department became part of the newly created Division (later School) of Informatics, the Computer Systems Group was formally constituted as the Institute for Computer Systems Architecture.Computer Systems Group Technical ReportsCSG Technical Reports 1994CSG Technical Reports 1995CSG Technical Reports 1996CSG Technical Reports 1997CSG Technical Reports 1998 This article was published on 2025-02-20
