IBM runs an international competition for these fellowships. Students must already be enrolled for PhD study to be eligible.

The highly competitive IBM PhD Fellowship Awards provide funding for PhD students in the final years of their PhD programme. Students should be nominated by an academic member of staff in response to published programme announcements, so please discuss with your supervisor.

Apple Scholars in AI/ML PhD Fellowship

(for on programme PhD students)

This fellowship programme was created as part of the Apple Scholars program to support the work of outstanding PhD students from around the world, who are pursuing cutting edge research in machine learning and artificial intelligence. The fellowship award includes a monetary gift, mentorship, and potential internship opportunities. Applicants for these fellowships are nominated by the University upon invitation.
