Outreach and Public Engagement

The School of Informatics is committed to working with the local community and sharing their knowledge and research with audiences beyond academia. Here are some examples of our past outreach and PE activities.

Informatics Tutoring Scheme was a project, run between 2021-2025, in which Informatics students supported Scottish Computer Science and Maths exam-level high school students through 121 or small group online tutorial sessions.

In April 2024 School of Informatics PhD students Vid and Kim ran a Micro:bits workshop at Deans Primary School in Livingston.
